I'm Alex Long. While this is A Long Version, here's a little about me.

My adolescent and young adult life in Orange County allowed me to explore my lifelong love of sports through the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It also fostered a decade long relationship with Disneyland Park. I also graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Entertainment and Tourism.

Through my education I've come to really like writing and I'm always looking for ways to channel it, to get better, get comfortable with publishing it and find new vessels to do so.

In addition to sports, I also have a fondness for entertainment and pop culture. I watch WAY too much tv than I have time for but it's something I've just grown accustomed to. Hopefully as time goes on I can start writing pieces about episodes of shows I watch. My favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls. The lead, Lorelai Gilmore, is my spirit animal.

In the true essence of my affinity for pop culture, I'll wrap up this page with a quote from Stephen Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being a Wall Flower:

I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there.
